Helicopter crash kills 8 including Ghana's defense and environment ministers

A helicopter crash in Ghana has killed eight individuals, including Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed. The military reported that the helicopter, which took off from Accra towards Obuasi, went off the radar.

The cause of the crash is still unknown. Other victims included a ruling party official and a top national security adviser. The government has labeled the incident a "national tragedy," marking one of the worst air disasters in Ghana in over a decade.
