Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota AG Keith Ellison will testify before Congress

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison will testify on March 4 before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. This comes amid an investigation into welfare fraud in Minnesota, a significant issue for Republicans linked to a controversial immigration operation in Minneapolis.

Chair James Comer stated, “We look forward to questioning Governor Walz and Attorney General Ellison under oath about this scandal to ensure transparency and accountability.” He emphasized the need for stronger measures against fraud.

Walz, the 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee, previously testified before the committee in June. Ellison is a former Democratic congressman.
