Turkey says second Iranian ballistic missile shot down by NATO

Turkey announced that NATO air defences shot down a second ballistic missile from Iran that entered its airspace. This incident follows another missile attack last week. Turkey warned Iran against further aggression but has not sought formal NATO protection.

The Turkish Defence Ministry stated, “all necessary measures will be taken decisively and without hesitation against any threat.” Fragments of the missile fell in Gaziantep, causing no casualties.

Ankara reiterated its warning to Iran to avoid actions that threaten regional stability. Despite Turkey's military capabilities, it still relies on NATO for air defence amid these incidents. Iran has not commented on the attacks, maintaining it does not target regional countries.
