Crude shipments on Druzhba pipeline suspended after drone attack, Hungary says

SUMMARY

Crude oil shipments through the Druzhba pipeline to Hungary have been halted following a Ukrainian drone attack on a metering station. Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced this in a Facebook video.

He communicated with Russia's energy minister, who indicated that "due to the attack shipments are not possible now." However, he noted that if all goes well, shipments may resume later in the afternoon or early evening. Hungary relies heavily on the Druzhba pipeline for its crude oil imports. Transneft, Russia's oil pipeline operator, has not yet commented.
