Kash Patel's FBI cuts all ties to Southern Poverty Law Center

The FBI has severed all ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a group criticized for labeling conservative groups as hate organizations. FBI Director Kash Patel stated, "The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine."

He explained that the SPLC's hate map has incited violence against conservative organizations.

The SPLC was once dedicated to civil rights but has shifted focus to target mainstream conservatives. Its actions have led to domestic terrorism incidents, including an attack on the Family Research Council in 2012. Patel emphasized that due to the SPLC's history, it is now unfit for any partnership with the FBI.
