'thick black smoke'

Plane crash lands at UK airport as locals see 'fireball' erupt into sky

SUMMARY

A small Beechcraft plane crashed at Southend Airport around 4 PM, causing a fireball and black smoke to rise into the sky. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. The aircraft was confirmed as a medical transport jet operated by Zeusch Aviation, which had arrived from Croatia earlier that day.

Reports indicate it crashed shortly after takeoff. Local witness Dani Hill described seeing "the huge fireball" from her window. Eyewitness John Johnson noted the plane rolled left before crashing. Currently, it's unclear how many people were aboard. Local authorities and emergency services are on-site managing the aftermath.
