Trump unveils FIFA PASS scheme to give priority visa appointment access to World Cup fans
Donald Trump announced the FIFA PASS scheme, allowing World Cup ticket holders to obtain expedited visa appointments for the 2026 World Cup in the US. This initiative aims to streamline the visa process for international fans.
Trump stated, "I've directed my administration to do everything within their power to make the 2026 World Cup an unprecedented success."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned that 400 additional consular officers were added to handle increased visa demand.
The goal is to prioritize visa applications from FIFA ticket holders, who can use a dedicated portal for faster assistance. FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the plan as a step toward making this World Cup the most inclusive ever, with over six million tickets available across host cities.
