Taiwan's updated civil defense guide focuses on wartime scenarios

Taiwan's All-Out Defense Mobilization Agency released an updated civil defense handbook, emphasizing wartime scenarios. It details potential military threats, including sabotage of communications and arbitrary inspections of Taiwanese ships.

The guide advises residents to seek shelter in basements, stay away from windows, and lie prone outdoors during attacks. It warns against false information regarding government surrender and encourages discussions about war with children.

The updated handbook also provides community volunteering information and will be available in physical copies at selected stores, along with downloadable versions in Chinese and English.
