Trump admin wins court victory freeing ICE agents from Minnesota riot restrictions

SUMMARY

A federal appeals court supported the Trump administration by blocking restrictions on ICE agents in Minnesota. The ruling stops a lower court's injunction that limited ICE's actions against anti-ICE rioters without probable cause.

The 8th Circuit Court declared that "some of it [rioter conduct] is peaceful but much of it [is not]." This decision lifts previous limits on how ICE handles enforcement operations amid ongoing riots.

The lawsuit claimed violations of civil rights by federal agents. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated the ruling protects law enforcement safety during incidents with "violent agitators."
