Argentina withdraws from the World Health Organisation

Argentina has announced its withdrawal from the World Health Organization, following former President Donald Trump's lead. The decision was made during a press conference by presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni. He cited "deep differences regarding health management especially during the Covid-19 pandemic." Adorni stated Argentina would not allow an international body to interfere in its sovereignty.

The move reflects past criticisms of the WHO's pandemic management and former President Alberto Fernández's decisions. This withdrawal echoes Trump's earlier executive order to pull the U.S. from the WHO, emphasizing perceived financial imbalances and accountability issues related to China's influence.
