Trump says US will 'dig up' uranium buried in Iran

U.S. and Israeli military strikes have targeted Iran's leadership and nuclear program but haven't fully eliminated the threats posed by Tehran's nuclear ambition, missile capabilities, or support for proxies like Hezbollah.

Trump announced plans to collaborate with Iran to "dig up and remove" uranium buried from joint strikes but noted that none has been retrieved yet; it is expected to be an intensive undertaking.

Iran maintains its nuclear program is peaceful, despite enriching uranium close to weapons-grade levels. The Iranian ceasefire plan's Farsi version cites "acceptance of enrichment," a phrase absent in the English translation.

A senior Israeli official stated that the U.S. coordinated the ceasefire and committed to removing nuclear material and dismantling Iran's missile program.
