Over 700 former national security officials endorse Kamala Harris
Over 700 former high-ranking national security officials have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president, expressing concerns about former President Trump's authoritarian tendencies.
Retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Michael Smith highlighted Harris's preparedness and strategic understanding. He contrasted her qualities with Trump's, who he described as lacking the necessary qualities to lead.
The endorsement letter includes 741 officials, comprising 233 general and flag officers, 15 four-star generals, and former cabinet secretaries from both parties.
They affirm that America needs a serious Commander-in-Chief and stress the importance of defending democracy.
The signatories call Harris a diplomatic candidate and distinguish her from Trump, labeling Trump as “impulsive and ill-informed.â€
They see their endorsement of Harris as a stand for freedom and democratic ideals.
