Fire engulfs popular Bangkok pub, killing 27 people and injuring 63

A fire at a popular pub in northern Bangkok has resulted in 27 deaths and 63 injuries. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed the grim toll, stating, “Twenty-seven bodies were moved out, lifeless bodies.” Witnesses reported smoke coming from a circuit breaker before an explosion led to thick smoke filling the venue. Many victims were discovered in the restrooms. Footage revealed the intense blaze and smoke, with people trying to escape. Firefighters managed to control the fire after about 30 minutes, leaving the pub severely damaged.
