Poland warns against restarting Russia gas supplies

Poland's President Andrzej Duda believes that gas flows from Russia to Western Europe should never resume, even if Russia and Ukraine reach peace. He stated the Nord Stream pipelines should be dismantled to prevent countries like Germany from restoring Russian gas supplies to improve their economies.

Duda emphasized the importance of maintaining sanctions against Russia and resisting pressure to re-establish business ties. He labeled the pipelines a significant threat to the security and economy of Central Europe.

He also insisted that any peace talks involving Ukraine must include its participation, sharing a historic perspective on Poland’s own experiences during World War II.
