Meta announces nuclear energy projects

Meta is announcing key agreements with Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo to enhance nuclear energy production in the U.S. These partnerships aim to add clean, reliable energy to grids, supporting AI innovation and creating thousands of jobs.

The collaboration reinforces commitments to advanced nuclear reactors and operational nuclear plants, providing up to 6.6 GW of energy by 2035. Joel Kaplan, Meta's Chief Global Affairs Officer, stated, "Nuclear energy will help power our AI future... create thousands of skilled jobs."

Projects include developing Natrium reactors in Wyoming and constructing new facilities in Ohio, with significant investments in existing nuclear plants to ensure long-term reliability and energy security.
