NCAA bans trans athletes from women's sports

The NCAA has revised its gender eligibility rules to ban all biological males from competing in women's sports. This change comes a day after President Trump signed an executive order titled "No Men in Women’s Sports." The new policy states, "A student-athlete assigned male at birth may not compete on a women’s team." Previously, the policy allowed biological males to compete if they underwent testosterone suppression for a year. NCAA President Charlie Baker emphasized the need for "clear, consistent and uniform eligibility standards." Many in the public support the ban, with a majority opposing transgender athletes in women’s sports.
