This remark was made during a series of private lectures, where Thiel warned that those advocating technology regulation could lead to global authoritarianism. He suggested that in the 21st century, the true Antichrist is someone who opposes science, comparing Thunberg to historical Luddites. Thiel criticized financial regulations as indications of a world government agenda, stating, "It’s become quite difficult to hide one’s money."
