RFK Jr to investigate if phones and 5G cause cancer

SUMMARY

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will study cellphone radiation following Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s concerns about its links to neurological damage and cancer.

Last year, 22 states limited cellphone use in schools to protect children's health.

The FDA recently removed outdated webpages stating cellphones are safe. HHS spokesman Andrew Nixon noted that the FDA is updating its information while HHS conducts new research.

President Trump's MAHA Commission prompted this study.

Despite these changes, the FDA and CDC still say there is no credible evidence linking cellphone radiation to health issues. The National Cancer Institute maintains that "evidence to date suggests that cellphone use does not cause brain or other kinds of cancer in humans."
