March descends on DC against Trump takeover

Thousands protested outside the White House against the Trump administration's crime policies during the “We Are All DC” march. Demonstrators expressed concerns over the military presence in Washington, D.C., claiming it threatens local communities.

Organizations like Democracy Forward condemned the militarization, stating, “the American people will not bow to dictators.” Activists highlighted issues like profiling and arrests by federal agents.

The League of Conservation Voters called for an end to Trump's "takeover" and demanded D.C. statehood. Meanwhile, Republicans proposed legislation to increase federal control over D.C.'s governance.

Despite protests, the deployment of National Guard troops will continue through December.
