RAF jets carried out joint strikes on ISIS-occupied base storing weapons in Syria

RAF Typhoon jets conducted joint strikes on an ISIS-held base in Syria, targeting an underground facility suspected of storing weapons. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that guided bombs were used to attack tunnels associated with the site, located near Palmyra.

Defence Secretary John Healey emphasized the UK's commitment to collaborate with allies in combating terrorist threats, stating, "to 'stamp out any resurgence' of the terrorist movement." The operation was carried out with no civilians in the vicinity, ensuring safety during the strikes.
