Elon Musk consulted Curtis Yarvin, 'right-wing thinker,' on third party

Elon Musk, exploring a third political party called the America Party, consulted right-wing blogger Curtis Yarvin, known for advocating monarchism and criticizing American democracy. They spoke last week about political theories, despite Yarvin's lack of expertise in third-party mechanics, according to two anonymous sources. Yarvin, influential in tech-right circles, has ties to figures like Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen and Vice President JD Vance.

He supports automated voting via phone apps, contrasting Musk’s push for paper ballots and hand-counting due to distrust in electronic voting. Yarvin has also criticized Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency for insufficient control over federal bureaucracy and made statements on race, defending genetic differences in an idea coined as "human biodiversity."

Musk, who recently followed Yarvin on X, also discussed the America Party with Andrew Yang, a former third-party founder. Sources close to Musk say his plans remain conceptual, with challenges in finding allies willing to risk political backlash.
