
Israeli government official arrested in internet crimes against children sting
An Israeli government cybersecurity official, Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, was arrested in Nevada during a police sting operation targeting online child predators. He faces charges of luring a child for a sex act. Alexandrovich was released on $10,000 bail and returned to Israel.
A press release from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department states that eight individuals were arrested.
Reports indicated he was in Las Vegas for a cybersecurity conference just before the operation. Israeli authorities downplayed the incident, claiming it had "no political implications."
After the arrest became public, Alexandrovich’s LinkedIn profile was deleted. According to a screenshot posted online:
