Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente identified as Brown University and MIT shooting suspect

Claudio Manuel Neves-Valente, a former Brown University student, is identified as the suspect in a mass shooting that killed two students and injured nine during a finals review session. Authorities found him dead in a New Hampshire storage unit from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Neves-Valente, a Portuguese national, had previously studied physics at Brown but withdrew in 2003. He is also suspected of killing MIT professor Nuno Loureiro days later. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. Rhode Island and Massachusetts authorities are handling the case.
