Trump's 'tough talk' at UN begins with failure of teleprompter

Donald Trump faced technical issues with his teleprompter as he began his speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Despite this, he humorously stated, “I don’t mind making the speech without a teleprompter because the teleprompter is not working.” His speech was intended to address "American strength" and the "failures of globalism."

After about ten minutes, the teleprompter began functioning again, but Trump noted he might prefer reading from paper instead. He expressed that the glitches might have enhanced his delivery, saying, “That way you speak more from the heart.”
