Trump breaks silence on US troops killed to the Daily Mail

SUMMARY

President Trump addressed the recent casualties in the Iran war, confirming that three US servicemembers were killed. He stated, "They're great people," and acknowledged the unfortunate reality of ongoing losses. Trump revealed that he expects the conflict to last about four weeks, saying,

"It's always been a four week process. We figured it will be four weeks or so. It's always been about a four week process so - as strong as it is, it's a big country, it'll take four weeks - or less"

He mentioned that the US had successfully targeted numerous Iranian leaders in the airstrikes. Trump remains open to future talks with Iran but criticized their missed opportunities. He plans to meet with the families of the fallen servicemembers and expressed hope for a potential democracy in Iran post-conflict.
