Iranian military adviser warns Israel-Iran war could resume at any point
Yahya Rahim Safavi, senior adviser to Khamenei, warned of ongoing war with Israel, stating, “We are not in a ceasefire now, we are in the stage of war, and no protocol, regulation or contract has been written between us and the United States and Israel.” Safavi predicts a decisive conflict, saying, “I think another war may happen, and after that, there may be no more wars.” His military is preparing for worst-case scenarios, emphasizing missile and naval strategies.
Amir Hayat Moghaddam, a National Security Committee member, escalated tensions, claiming Iran’s missiles could hit U.S. cities like Washington and European nations. The 12-day war, sparked by Israel’s attacks on June 23, 2024, heightens fears of renewed conflict. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi downplayed immediate war risks, advocating calm to prevent public panic, yet acknowledged war’s constant possibility.
