CEOs of Discord, Steam, Twitch, and Reddit requested to testify before Congress

On Wednesday, a U.S. House committee called CEOs of Discord, Steam, Twitch, and Reddit to testify on Oct. 8 about online user radicalization.

Representative Comer, chair of the Oversight Committee, initiated the hearing post Charlie Kirk’s assassination, stating, “Congress has a duty to oversee the online platforms that radicals have used to advance political violence.”

The focus is on how these platforms enabled extremist content, spotlighting their failure to curb radical ideologies.
