Congress passes 'Big Beautiful Bill,' a major win for Trump

Donald Trump's major tax and spending bill has passed in Congress, marking a significant victory for his administration. The House voted 218-214 after the Senate passed it with a narrow margin. Trump set a deadline of July 4 for the bill's completion.

The Congressional Budget Office predicts the bill could add $3.3 trillion to federal deficits and reduce health coverage for millions. Despite this, it fulfills many of Trump's campaign promises, including making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, roughly $150 billion for a border wall and enforcement and expanding AI technologies.

The bill also allocates funds for border security and military expenditures.
