Council in UK wins high court injunction to remove asylum seekers at The Bell Hotel

Asylum seekers at The Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, must vacate by September 12 after Epping Forest District Council won a High Court injunction. The council argued the hotel wasn't serving its intended purpose. Somani Hotels plans to appeal, claiming the decision could impact their ability to house migrants, which they see as vital for financial stability.

Council leader Chris Whitbread stated, "We always knew the Bell Hotel was the wrong location" due to its proximity to schools. Protests have been ongoing since July 13th after an asylum seeker was charged with sexually assaulting a minor. A further hearing for a permanent injunction is anticipated.
