Iran deal by Tuesday, otherwise 'I am blowing up everything'
President Trump has imposed a firm Tuesday deadline for reaching a deal with Iran and warned that failure to comply will trigger total destruction.
“There is a good chance, but if they don't make a deal, I am blowing up everything over there,” Trump told Axios.
He has explicitly threatened to begin bombing Iranian power plants and bridges starting Tuesday if the regime does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has remained closed for over a month.
In a Sunday morning Truth Social post Trump wrote: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell — JUST WATCH!”
Trump claimed the U.S. is engaged in deep indirect negotiations through Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey, plus direct text messages between his advisers Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
He argued that many Iranian civilians opposed to the regime would support strikes on infrastructure because “they are living in fear” and want the government weakened.
Mediators say the talks have produced no significant progress.
