Left-wing extremists attack Amazon and Telekom in Berlin

Early Tuesday morning, multiple transporters were set ablaze in Berlin's Lichtenberg and Britz neighborhoods. An anonymous "anti-militarist" group claimed responsibility for the fires, which damaged 17 Telekom vans in Lichtenberg and 19 Amazon vans in Britz.

Approximately 100 firefighters responded but could not prevent the complete destruction of the vehicles. No injuries were reported.

The attacks were justified by the arsonists as a protest against companies like Amazon and Telekom for their perceived support of militarization. The group stated, "Instead of a champagne reception, there are charred car wrecks on our part for the ceremonial opening of the Amazon Tower."

Police union officials condemned the attacks as acts of senselessness.
