Japan updates its Megaquake disaster prevention plan

Japan's government aims to reduce potential deaths from a Nankai Trough megaquake by 80% over the next decade. This is part of a revised disaster-prevention plan adopted by the Central Disaster Prevention Council. The update reflects changes from a 2014 plan.
