Hundreds of federal employees laid off by DOGE are rehired

Hundreds of federal employees who were laid off due to Elon Musk's DOGE cost-cutting measures are now being asked to return to work. They have until the end of the week to accept reinstatement. Those who do must report back by October 6 after what amounts to a seven-month paid vacation.
