He plans to discuss cooperation with the U.S. and Europe, economic strengthening, arms production, and executive reform with her. Current Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal will need to resign for the appointment to proceed, with parliament expected to vote soon. Zelensky's party holds a majority and is likely to support the change quickly. Speculation about replacing Shmyhal has been ongoing since last summer.
