US officially leaves World Health Organization

The US has officially withdrawn from the WHO,[one of its major donors. President Trump signed the executive order due to dissatisfaction with the organization's handling of the Covid pandemic, citing it as "too China-centric." The WHO's director general expressed disappointment, stating the withdrawal is a loss for both the US and the world.

The US has stopped its funding and pulled personnel from WHO operations. Health officials indicated that future US engagements will focus strictly on managing the withdrawal. "The WHO tarnished and trashed everything that America has done for it," said US officials. The WHO continues to emphasize its global health efforts amid the departure.
