Pakistan Navy seizes $1bn worth of crystal meth and cocaine in Arabian Sea drugs bust
SUMMARY
Pakistan's navy seized narcotics valued at nearly $1 billion during a recent operation in the Arabian Sea. The Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) reported the interception of two vessels within 48 hours. The operation resulted in the confiscation of several tonnes of crystal methamphetamine and some cocaine.
Royal Saudi Naval Forces Commodore Fahad Aljoiad remarked that the operation was among the "most successful narcotics seizures for CMF." The US Central Command also praised the effort, highlighting the significant value of the seized drugs. Additionally, the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Yamama earlier intercepted a vessel carrying over $120 million in narcotics.
