CAM launches new 'Report it' app to document antisemitic incidents in real time
The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) has introduced the "Report It" app, a tool designed to document antisemitic incidents globally in real time. Users can anonymously submit details, including locations, photos, or videos of acts like vandalism, harassment, or violence. CAM’s Antisemitism Research Center reports over 12,000 such incidents in the past five years.
Most antisemitic acts—50% to 80%—go unreported due to mistrust in authorities, bureaucratic obstacles, or lack of awareness, skewing statistics and hindering resource allocation. The app addresses this by streamlining reporting, with verified submissions sent to law enforcement, local leaders, or media for action.
“Research and reports have consistently demonstrated that the overwhelming majority of antisemitic incidents are unreported, frequently because of a mistrust of authorities, a lack of awareness of reporting systems, bureaucratic hurdles, and excessive ‘red tape,’” said Roytman, CAM’s CEO. “With Report It, we are giving every individual a quick, safe, and effective way to shine a light on hate.”
The app’s secure, user-friendly design ensures privacy and ease of use. By exposing the true scale of antisemitism, CAM aims to strengthen advocacy for robust protections and policies, empowering communities to combat hate effectively.
