Putin disagrees with some critical points in US plan to end Ukraine war

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated there are unacceptable points in a U.S. plan to end the war in Ukraine. He described recent talks with U.S. officials as "necessary" but "difficult," indicating significant differences remain, particularly concerning land concessions from Ukraine and future security guarantees.

Putin mentioned, “This was a necessary conversation, a very concrete one,” but some proposals were unacceptable. U.S. efforts led by President Donald Trump's aides aim for a peace deal, albeit with continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities including Kryvyi Rih and Kherson. Russian drone strikes also targeted Odesa.

The situation remains complex and further negotiations are anticipated.
