Publisher of famous Soviet newspaper Pravda falls to his death from a seventh-floor window

Vyacheslav Leontyev, the 87-year-old head of the Pravda publishing house, died after falling 70 feet from his Moscow apartment window. Known for leading the iconic Soviet newspaper long after the USSR collapsed, Leontyev's death is currently under investigation by Russian police.

They are considering whether it was an accident, suicide, or foul play. Exiled journalist Andrey Malgin expressed concerns about the "strange death," noting a pattern of deaths among notable Russians. Leontyev, thought to have knowledge of the Communist Party's secret finances, is the latest in a series of suspicious falls involving prominent figures in Russia.
