Doritos fires transgender influencer over controversial tweets

Doritos Spain ended its relationship with transgender influencer Iván González Ranedo, known as Samantha Hudson, following backlash over a promotional video. The video was posted on Instagram as part of a series called "Crunch Talks" but was removed after complaints.

A spokesperson for Doritos stated that Hudson was terminated due to past controversial comments. “We have ended the relationship and stopped all related campaign activity due to the comments,” they said. Hudson has previously made statements on several sensitive topics, including comments seen as promoting violence and dysfunctional family structures.

This controversy echoes the backlash faced by Bud Light for partnering with another transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.
