Trump not ruling out war with Venezuela

SUMMARY

President Trump indicated that he is not ruling out the possibility of a war with Venezuela during a recent NBC News interview. He ordered a blockade of sanctioned oil tankers, which has led to over 28 boat strikes resulting in more than 100 deaths. Trump stated, "I don't discuss it" regarding potential war but confirmed it was a possibility if actions continue.

He also defended his economic policies in a prime-time address, announcing a $1,776 one-time payment for nearly 1.5 million military members, funded through tariffs. On health care, he criticized insurance companies and proposed letting people buy their own health insurance while declaring he does not plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Trump expressed confidence that Republicans will maintain control of Congress in the upcoming midterms.
