Orionid meteor shower peak begin overnight tonight

SUMMARY

Stargazers can look forward to the Orionid meteor shower, peaking overnight on October 20-21. During this time, 10-20 shooting stars might be visible, originating near Betelgeuse in Orion. The shower lasts from October 2 to November 7 as Earth passes through Halley's Comet's debris. The best viewing is in the early morning hours of October 21 under dark skies.

To optimize your experience, allow your eyes to adjust to the darkness and find a spot away from light pollution. Even after the peak, meteors will still be active, especially between October 21-23.
