UK Covid advisors did not admit £200 million in Wellcome Trust grants

A report reveals that 26 members of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) did not disclose over £200 million in grants from the Wellcome Trust, creating a conflict of interest.

The report highlights that these funds were not listed on the SAGE register, with £175 million allocated during the critical years of 2020 and 2021 alone.

Prominent recipients include Professor Neil Ferguson, who advised on the UK lockdown, and Professor Gavin Screaton, who received over £26 million related to Covid-19.
