Twelve tons of KitKat chocolate bars stolen

SUMMARY

Twelve tons of KitKat chocolate bars went missing in Europe after thieves stole the truck transporting them, according to Nestle. The truck, filled with 413,793 bars from a new range, was en route from central Italy to Poland but never arrived.

The vehicle and chocolate are still unaccounted for. Nestle did not disclose the location of the theft.

KitKat mentioned the missing bars are traceable with a unique batch code. Those scanning the batch numbers will receive contact instructions for KitKat.

"Whilst we appreciate the criminals' exceptional taste," KitKat stated, acknowledging the growing problem of cargo theft.
