Thailand destroys bridge as fighting with Cambodia continues

Renewed fighting between Thailand and Cambodia has led to a declared curfew in parts of Thailand. The conflict, which has resurfaced this month, has resulted in at least one civilian death. Thai forces destroyed a bridge used by Cambodia to supply weapons, while Cambodia accused Thailand of targeting civilian infrastructure.

Tensions stem from a long history of territorial disputes, worsened by past military skirmishes.

Despite claims of a ceasefire from US President Donald Trump, violence continues. The recent clashes have ended a July ceasefire and resulted in the deaths of around two dozen individuals.
