NASA's Artemis II rocket rescheduled to early April

SUMMARY

Engineers faced issues repressurizing the helium tanks of the Artemis II moon rocket, delaying the already postponed mission from March to early April. This requires rolling the rocket back to the Vehicle Assembly Building for troubleshooting.

NASA officials stated the helium problem needs resolution to push propellants to the rocket's engines. The mission plans to send four astronauts around the moon to test the Orion capsule for future lunar landings.

The available launch dates in April are now April 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman remarked, "I understand people are disappointed by this development." Expecting continuous missions, he emphasized the program's ambition to exceed the Apollo achievements.
