Emmanuel Macron's wax statue 'kidnapped'

On June 2, 2025, a wax statue of Emmanuel Macron was stolen from the Grévin Museum in Paris. Three individuals, disguised as museum staff, executed the theft by removing the unguarded statue valued at €40,000. They escaped through an emergency exit, covering the statue with a blanket.

A man later identified as a Greenpeace member called the museum to claim responsibility for the act. The museum promptly alerted the police about the incident.
