Polymarket taps Peter Thiel-backed Palantir to develop sports betting AI monitoring tool
Polymarket has partnered with Peter Thiel’s Palantir Technologies to build a sports integrity platform for its rapidly expanding sports prediction markets.
The platform will deploy the Vergence AI engine, co-developed by Palantir and TWG AI, to monitor every trade, screen prohibited users, generate compliance reports, and detect anomalies like manipulation and insider activity in real time.
This integration fuses the world’s leading prediction market with one of the most powerful surveillance and predictive analytics systems in existence.
Shayne Coplan, Polymarket founder and CEO, said the partnership sets “a new standard for sports market integrity controls” while giving leagues and teams tools to maintain confidence in the games.
The move comes as both Polymarket and rival Kalshi push deeper into sports betting, a lucrative sector also targeted by traditional operators like DraftKings, which has launched in 38 states including those where conventional sports wagering remains illegal.
Palantir, co-founded by Peter Thiel, specializes in data integration and analytics tools long used by the U.S. military and intelligence agencies.
