Israel secures additional $8.7 billion U.S. weapons package to support military campaigns

Israel has secured an $8.7 billion aid package from the U.S. for military efforts and regional superiority. The package allocates $3.5 billion for wartime procurement and $5.2 billion for air defense systems, including the Iron Dome and advanced laser technology.

The aid comes as Israel fights Hamas in Gaza and expands its ground campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon. U.S. and Israeli defense officials negotiated the package, emphasizing its importance for Israel's security.

“This substantial investment will significantly strengthen critical systems such as Iron Dome and David’s Sling,” the Defense Ministry said.
