SpaceX: Billionaire becomes first person to take part in private spacewalk

Billionaire Jared Isaacman became the first person to conduct a private spacewalk on the SpaceX Polaris Dawn mission. He exited the capsule after a brief delay for safety checks, showcasing a new line of spacesuits. The spacewalk was celebrated with cheers from mission control in Florida.

Isaacman described the view as "gorgeous" as he floated in space, keeping tethered to the capsule. His mission aimed to test the new suits, which are slimmer than those used by NASA astronauts.

The crew, including engineer Sarah Gillis, performed mobility tests during the event. This mission is part of three funded by Isaacman, highlighting a significant step in private space exploration.
